GVI Weekend, 15 June - 17 June

I spent the weekend at  good old mates at GVI again this weekend and got to go out on drive wit them.

We went on a drive on Saturday morning and at our first stop just outside the house I saw a really awesome sight where there was the moon with 2 planets just above the horizon as the sun was starting to light up the horizon.

We were driving around for quite a while afterwards looking for the Wild Dogs and Cheetah and saw this awesome bird which gave a great photo opportunity.
A Burchell's Coucal. Amazing bird.

After this we found the female Cheetah and again she was really really fat. She must of just eaten again, but again she was amazing to see.

Resting nicely under a tree in the heat of the day and trying to get rid of the belly. One of my favourite animals.

We had just spotted the Elephants on the dam wall and were watching the for a while but then noticed right next to the car were 2 Butterflies flying about and landing on the flowers.
 2 African Monarchs.
A Blue Pansy.

I was blown away by what we saw after this and I had been told about him but haven't seen him unil that moment when I was blown away. This was the biggest tuskers I had ever seen and he is extremely impressive.

An amazing Elephant. He is insane. Was amazing to see this beautiful animal.

Thanks guys.

Till next time.

GVI Weekend

So I went to some old friends of mine at GVI. I was there from Saturday morning till late Sunday.

As I drove into the reserve, there is a small dam/wetland. And there were 3 Buffalo Bulls wallowing and just standing around until they decided to move off.

I carried on driving in and still on the way to the house we saw a female Cheetah who was extremely fat. They recon she had just eaten that morning and it was about 11am at the time.

Really amazing animal. One of my favourite.

We were chilling at the house when my one mate called us outside and there on the fence was this amazing snake.

A Vine Snake. What an amazing species. This is a very venomous snake but it's absolutely amazing. They are extremely camouflaged and look exactly like a branch. But very awesome.

Till next time
